DIY sewing machine cover

Keep your sewing machine protected, wrapped up and under cover with this snazzy new DIY from the folks at Ideas

You’ll need:
Transparent organza

Instructions:
  • First measure the length of your sewing machine when it is set up for use and add 10cm (measurement A). Now measure the machine from the front of the table over the top to the back of the table and add 10cm (measurement B). Cut out the organza according to length (A) and width (B).
  • Divide measurement B by three (measurement C). Cut two squares from the organza using measurement C for both the length and width.
  • Sew the panels together with French seams and work a 1,5cm hem at the bottom edge of the cover. Use transfer paper to print a flower design on the front of the machine cover.

Top tip: Before starting this project we suggest you visit your local Fabric and Textile Warehouse. We have an extensive collection of organza sheers available in every colour of the rainbow. You could also take a trip to our ONLINE CATALOGUE and have a look at some gorgeous CRYSTAL SHEER SNOW ORGANZA that we think is just perfect for this project.
