Sewing Green

Recycling has become a very common buzzword, and as such some people dismiss it out of hand. Which is rather sad, because really, what it means is that we're returning to our roots, with good old-fashioned values. At Fabric & Textile Warehouse, we believe in taking care. We believe in traditional values, like using what you've got, fixing what's broken, and making what you have work for you. We put energy into not wasting and love finding new ways to make old things special again.

Pretty flowers add a dash of
whimsy to - well, everything!
That's why we love quilting and scrap-booking so much, preserving precious moments and fond memories for years to come. It's also why we love this great blog, Sew Recycled. Our blogger shows how a couple of touches, like the right thread, a pretty embellishment or an unusual button, put together with love and care can make all the difference, and turn a piece of "junk" into a cherished gift.

Take a look and tell us what you think. What projects have you been working on, that have turned something old into something new and amazing? Leave a comment and let us know, or share your recycled treasures with us on Facebook.
